Erin Einbender is an abstract painter whose work blurs the boundaries between science and art and technology and art. She mainly uses acrylic with other mixed media such as graphite and gesso. Born in San Francisco, Einbender attended The Oxbow School in Napa, CA as well as Idyllwild Arts Academy in southern California. She currently lives in Chicago where she is finishing her BFA at the School of the Art institute of Chicago. Einbender is an active volunteer at one tail at a time dog rescue. She has recently started a photography project called "Cones of Fame" where she takes portraits of adoptable dogs in decorated cones. The cones are ment to empower the pups instead of shame them. She hopes the photographs will help the dogs find their forever homes as well as promote the importance of spaying/neutering your pet.
